Here she is!
We are pleased to announce that Kylee Ann Charbonneau joined our family Monday, April 4th at 9:33 a.m. She weighed 9 lbs 4 oz and was 21 1/4 inches long. I started to have contractions around 12:30 early Monday morning. I got out of bed and started timing them as they were stronger than what I had usually felt. At 2:15 I woke Chris up and told him it was time to go to the hospital. My parents came over right away to stay with Olivia and we flew down 45. By the time we left the house my contractions were 6 minutes apart. As we excited Old Spanish Trail they were 3 minutes apart. Chris dropped me off at the front of the hospital and went to park as there was not valet at 3:30 in the morning....go figure. I got to labor and delivery and funny enough we were put in the same room I delivered Olivia. It was really neat to me, I am not sure why but I was excited to be in that room all over again. As I got into the bed the nurse needed to check my progress. The last time I was at the doctor I was 2 centimeters, that morning I was at 5. Needless to say, I was in a lot of pain at that time and I asked the nurse right away when I could have the epidural. Of course, there was a LOT of paperwork she had to do and luckily another nurse started my IV so we could get that epidural quicker. Once the magical drug man came in I was a lot calmer and my blood pressure went down. My sister and Aunt Margaret got there around 4 a.m. and my parents and Bill and Emiko got there around 8. Tommy, Taryn and Katheen came later and I am glad our families were there to welcome our daughter. My doctor got came in around 9:00 to break my water and said "oh, you are ready to go." My mom quickly left to find everyone and let them know it was time. Chris and I were getting excited to meet Kylee and I was anxious to see who she looked like. Kylee came a lot faster than Olivia did and at 9:33 we met our second beautiful daughter. We are so very thankful that God has blessed us with our two beautiful daughters and are loving every minute we have had with them. Olivia is a great big sister and LOVES Kylee. When Kylee cries, Olivia askes if she is okay and will run and make sure she is okay. She likes to sit with me while I am feeding her and says "baby milk"? It is very cute!!! Here is just one picture of our family from the hospital. Kylee is now a week old and is doing great! She lifts her neck and can hold it up for a few seconds at a time. She sleeps good during the night only waking up a couple of times to eat and goes back to sleep. Kylee loves to be snuggled and swaddled unlike Olivia. Olivia did like to snuggle but refused to be swaddled! She of course looks just like her big sister did which I guess means both of our girls look like their daddy. I hope to keep up with the blog weekly but we will see how that goes. I am so excited and thankful to be able to stay at home with our girls! It is such a blessing and Chris has been such a great supporter of it which is amazing! We are 3 very lucky girls!!!

39 weeks and 2 days
I never thought I would still be pregnant at this point! I am glad that she is going to be healthy and hoping she does not have jaundice like Olivia. But, at the same time we are ready and anxious to meet Kylee. We have an appointment Tuesday morning so I am taking the day off. I am excited because Chris and I will get some time together at the doctors and then we are going to lunch before I take him back to work. I am interested t see what she has to say this week! I am a little concerned because I realized yesterday that the Final Four starts Friday at Reliant, which Texas Women's is right across the street. So, I hope and pray she comes before or after all the games.
Olivia is still not sure what to think. We keep talking about baby sister and the things that are for her baby sister. I know that once Kylee is here Olivia is going to be the best big sister....if she ever gets here ;)
I will let everyone know what the doctor says Tuesday! Keep your fingers crossed we are getting closer!!

Is the end in sight?
My mom, Olivia and I went to the doctor Tuesday and it was quite a trip. What I thought would be a quick and easy visit ended up being a 2 hour and 15 minute trip. But, Olivia did a great job and of course my mom was a HUGE help! My doctor was worried because I had not progressed in a week and when I told her I thought I felt her legs in my ribs she sent me to get an ultrasound and be hooked up to a monitor. I thought we would get some better pictures but she just wanted to make sure Kylee is still head down. I was then worried because I do not want a C-section! That is not in my plan unless it is an absolute emergency! So I was VERY relieved when she showed that she was in fact head down. While hooked up to the monitor they watched her heart rate, movements, and contractions. I only had 2 contractions in a 15 minute period. So, Chris and I will be back at the doctor Tuesday for our 38 week and 4 day check up.
Today, my mom came and picked us up and we went to walk the Fairfield outlets. I was thinking maybe that would get her moving and ready to join our family! It looks like I will be back at work Monday unless she decides to come this weekend. We are already for her to come and excited to meet the newest member of the Charbonneau family!

The Waiting Game
I am 37 weeks and 3 days pregnant and ready to meet Kylee! I am glad she is comfortable in my belly but this little or big girl is running out of space. I made a joke with Emily about going and buying a moo moo to wear since nothing else fits and she "forbid" it. I wish I could have recorded her reaction! My mom and Olivia are going to the doctor with me tomorrow and we will see how she is doing. Last week I was measuring at 38 weeks so still a week and a half bigger. Hoping maybe she will give me some good news.
Olivia and I are on Spring break and I am excited to spend this time with her! We went to lunch with my friend Jaclyn today and had a great time catching up. Tomorrow we are going to the doctor and maybe the zoo or butterfly museum with my mom. Wednesday we are trying out Soccer Tots and then have lunch with Jennie, Heidi, Brooke and the Crawford sisters. We have a fun but busy week planned ahead and I am excited to get to spend some mommy/daughter time with her!
We will keep everyone posted on our progress!

Kylee's bedspread
Just wanted to share a picture of the bedspread I made for Kylee ( with the help of my mom). It took a couple months but I only worked on it Sunday's when we went over there for dinner. I was very proud of myself for taking on this project. Now I know I am ready to take on more projects. Not sure what the next will be but it has been nice having my mom teach me how to sew. It was a big accomplishment for me and I am glad that it turned out! My mom also made a valance and the bumper pads. I will post pictures later as they would not attach with my blanket picture.

Olivia's Speech Evaluation
As most of you know Olivia had ear infections the first 15 months of her life. We became concerned when at 20 months she still had minimal words in her vocabulary and was not trying to put two words together. I had asked our pediatrician at an appointment and she said we could have an evaluation done if we wanted. Chris and I decided to wait until she was 2 to see if she had made some progress. At her 2 year appointment Dr. Taylor told us that since she did not have 50 words and her vocabulary and was not consistently putting 2 words together we should think about having an evaluation done. Well, today was evaluation day! I was both excited and a little nervous. For Olivia to qualify for speech she would have to be 4 months behind. The ladies from Keep Pace came over and Olivia was her normal busy self. She worked with them and showed them her "skills". As we figured, she did not qualify for outside speech therapy but the more I think about it the happier I am. From their information, they concluded that she is 25 months but her communication age is 24 months. So, as soon as the ladies left and Olivia went down for a nap we made a list of all of her words. We are now up to 78 and she is putting a lot of those words together. The ladies told us that if in 3 months she is not progressing anymore that they could come back and do an another evaluation. I know she is going to continue to put words together but it was reassuring for us to hear that she is doing a great job as are we. I know sometimes Chris and I worry that we are not doing what we need to and of course as a teacher I worry what I could do more of to help her. But, we are very proud of our toot and all the progress she has made in the past few weeks.
On another note, I had my last 2 week check up yesterday and Kylee is doing great! I am 33 weeks and 5 days and she is measuring at 35 weeks. I asked my doctor if that meant she would come early and she said no but we shall see. I was also very excited that I did not gain ANY weight in the past 2 weeks! My doctor has been making comments about my weight and when she saw I did not gain any weight she asked if I was eating. Hello??? I eat ALL the time! It was good to hear her heart beat and know that she is growing and moving the way she is supposed to. I feel very blessed to have 2 beautiful girls in my life and Chris too!
We have our family/ maternity pictures this weekend. Our last family of 3 pictures before we are a family of 4.

33 weeks and getting ready
I am now 33 weeks and Kylee could possibly be here in 5-6 weeks. I am getting very excited to meet her and of course see who she looks like (hoping that it is me!!) and seeing Olivia's reaction to her baby sister. My mom came over today and hung the curtains for Kylee's room. She made her a valance, pillow, and bumper pads to match the blanket I am making her. They turned out great and I can't wait to share the finished product. Olivia was too funny today while we were hanging curtains. I heard my mom laughing and looked in and Olivia was in the baby bouncy with a paci. She was so cute and it was hard to tell her that we only use the paci's at night time and the bouncy is for the baby. I know she will be a great big sister but I know it will be an adjustment for her as well.
I have my last 2 week appointment this Tuesday and then I start my weekly appointments. I can't believe it is already time. Dr. Gunn said at my last appointment that everything was looking great and my 3 hour glucose was normal. Thank goodness because it was horrible having to do that test!
I am trying to pack up most of my stuff at school before I leave. I never realized how much I had accumulated over the past 4 years and keep thinking of where I am going to store it. I am sure that Chris will find a place for it. I am excited about being home with the girls next year and I am already thinking of things we can do. We are going to get a mini moonwalk for the back yard to keep our litte monkey busy and to wear her out. Luckily, Jennie, Heidi and Brooke will be off this summer and we can hang out too. I am very excited to be a stay at home mom and very thankful for Chris!!! We are 3 lucky girls!!!
